Sometimes, it can be hard to find your voice. In Willow’s Whispers, we are treated to the story of a young girl who speaks in such a quiet voice that no one at school can hear her. With the gentle encouragement of her father, Willow begins to think of ways to share her big strong voice. The contrast between her whispering day and her speaking day is striking. The story is told in a way that draws the interest of the children, but that does not stigmatize the child who is still seeking his or her voice. A wonderful addition to any classroom in which a child has felt nervous about speaking aloud.
